TICKETS ON SALE FOR
2006 NCAA® MEN’S COLLEGE CUP® IN ST. LOUIS

ST. LOUIS — Sept. 14, 2006 — Beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15, fans can order tickets to the 2006 NCAA Men’s College Cup in St. Louis. Individual tickets may be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling the Saint Louis University Billiken Ticket Office at 314-977-4SLU. Group tickets (11 or more) are available through the Billiken Ticket Office. The Division I men’s soccer national championship takes place Dec. 1 & 3 at Robert R. Hermann Stadium on the Saint Louis University campus. The event is hosted by SLU and the St. Louis Sports Commission.

Tickets for the College Cup are $50 (midfield), $40 (sideline ends), and $30 (goal line bleachers). They are sold as all-session packages and include tickets to the semifinal doubleheader and the championship game. Single-session tickets will be sold only if seats remain available immediately prior to the College Cup. Tickets are subject to Ticketmaster convenience charges and handling fees.

Although the region has previously hosted the NCAA Men’s College Cup seven times, this marks its first appearance in St. Louis since 1975. With the event back in the Gateway City – a soccer hotbed and home to one of the most successful Division I programs – demand for tickets is expected to be high. Temporary seating and hospitality tents will be added on the north and south sides of Robert R. Hermann Stadium to raise its capacity to more than 7,200. The venue is recognized as one of the top on-campus soccer facilities in the country.

As part of the College Cup weekend in St. Louis, the Missouri Athletic Club will award its Hermann Trophy to the top male and female Division I college soccer players. The award is college soccer’s version of the Heisman Trophy and represents the highest level of individual achievement in the sport. The M.A.C. typically announces the winners in January, but this year’s presentation will take place Saturday, Dec. 2 to coincide with the College Cup in St. Louis. The event will take place at Saint Louis University’s Busch Student Center. Tickets are available to the public and may be purchased by calling 314-539-4470.

The 2006 NCAA Men’s College Cup is one of 10 NCAA Division I championships taking place in St. Louis this decade. The region previously hosted the NCAA Men’s Final Four in 2005; the NCAA Women’s Final Four in 2001; and the NCAA Wrestling Championships in 2000, 2004 and 2005. St. Louis will host the NCAA Men’s Frozen Four in 2007. The Wrestling Championships return in 2008 and 2009; the Women’s Final Four is back in 2009.
