KICKOFF TIME ANNOUNCED

FOR AUG. 30 MISSOURI VS. ILLINOIS STATE FARM SHOWDOWN IN ST. LOUIS

ST. LOUIS — June 18, 2003 — The 2003 Missouri-Illinois State Farm Showdown at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis will kick off at 11 a.m. CDT Saturday, Aug. 30. The starting time accommodates ABC Sports, which has opted to televise the game for the second straight year. Last year, the Tigers defeated the Illini 33-20 in the first game of their two-year series in St. Louis. The match-up drew 61,876 fans. This year’s game once again serves as the season opener for both universities.

Individual tickets for the 2003 game go on sale to the public July 16 through Ticketmaster. Groups of 20 or more may purchase group tickets now by calling 314-342-5244. This number is for group tickets only. A schedule of events surrounding the game will be announced in early July. Affiliated activities will include the FOX Sports Net Kickoff Luncheon (Aug. 29), pregame tailgate party and pep rallies, and the Big Muddy Blues Festival on Laclede’s Landing.
