LIMITED NUMBER OF NCAA WOMEN'S FINAL FOUR® TICKETS
RELEASED FOR SALE IN ST. LOUIS
AREA RESIDENTS HAVE UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO BE PART OF
THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT ON APRIL 5 AND 7
ST. LOUIS – March 27, 2009 – The NCAA and the St. Louis Organizing
Committee are providing St. Louis area residents the opportunity to attend
the 2009 NCAA Women's Final Four. A limited number of tickets have become
available enabling organizers to offer them for sale in the St. Louis
market beginning at 10 a.m. today (March 27). To purchase these tickets,
fans can log on to www.ticketmaster.com
or visit the Scottrade Center box office, which is open from 10 a.m. until
5 p.m. Monday through Friday. (Tickets are available through the internet
and box office only.) Tickets cost $162 and provide admission to the two
national semifinal games on Sunday, April 5 and the national championship
game on Tuesday, April 7 at Scottrade Center. Additional handling fees
may apply.
Originally, tickets allotted to the public sold out through an application
process conducted last summer. But with the down economy impacting travel
by groups, the NCAA and SLOC are now able to give local fans an unprecedented
chance to obtain tickets.
"Extraordinary circumstances are giving us an extraordinary opportunity
to provide St. Louisans a way to attend the Women's Final Four,"
said Missy Slay, executive director of the SLOC. "We hope many in
our local community will take advantage of this very special opportunity
to experience the atmosphere inside Scottrade Center and create memories
that will last for years to come."
