2008 STATE FARM ARCH RIVALRY GAME TIME SET FOR 7:30 P.M.

AUG. 30 MATCH-UP TO BE TELEVISED LIVE ON ESPN

 

                ST. LOUIS – May 22, 2008 – The 2008 Illinois vs. Missouri State Farm Arch Rivalry football game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. (central) on Saturday, Aug. 30.  The game, which will take place at the Edward Jones Dome in downtown St. Louis, will air on ESPN.
                                                                                                             
The Illinois-Missouri match-up promises to be one of the premier games in the nation on that opening weekend, as both teams are expected to be included in the top-25 rankings that come out this summer.  Illinois had an outstanding season in 2007, finishing with a 9-4 record and a Rose Bowl appearance.  The Tigers are the defending Big 12 Conference North Division champions and are coming off a record-setting 12-2 season that included a Cotton Bowl victory.

Tickets for the 2008 State Farm Arch Rivalry will go on sale to the public on July 22 through Ticketmaster.  For now, fans who want to secure great seats can take advantage of special VIP packages being sold by the St. Louis Sports Commission.  Fans can join the Rivals Club to secure some of the best seats in the Edward Jones Dome and enjoy access to the Rams Club with an exclusive pregame buffet.  New this year is an ultimate VIP Tailgate experience, featuring prime tickets for the game and a private party space on Baer Plaza, adjacent to the Dome.  For more information, fans can call Karli Juenger at 314-206-7388.
