LOUIS July 10, 2002 Tickets for the 2002 Missouri-Illinois football game are now on sale to the general public. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster. Fans may purchase tickets by phone at 314-241-1888 or 618-222-2900; online at www.ticketmaster.com; or in-person at all Ticketmaster ticket outlets, including Famous Barr, Blue Note Sports Shops, select Schnucks Video Clubs, and Streetside Records. Tickets are $30 and $15. A limited number of $50 and $35 seats are also available. Group tickets for groups of 20 or more are available by calling 314-342-5244. This number is for group tickets only. Missouri and Illinois open the 2002 college football season Saturday, Aug. 31 at the Edward Jones Dome in downtown St. Louis. Kickoff time is 2:30 p.m. This marks the first meeting between the Tigers and Illini since 1994. The two football programs havent played in St. Louis in more than 30 years. The game also represents St. Louis first taste of Division I-A college football since hosting the Big 12 Football Championship in 1998. As part of their two-year agreement, the Tigers and Illini will also kick off the 2003 season in the Gateway City.
