TICKETS ON SALE NOW FOR NEXT YEAR'S
NCAA WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS IN ST. LOUIS

FANS CAN ORDER 2012 TICKETS ONLINE OR BY PHONE

            ST. LOUIS – March 17, 2011 – College wrestling returns to Championship City in 2012.  Beginning today, fans can order tickets for next year’s NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in St. Louis.  Tickets can be purchased online at ncaa.com/tickets or by phone at 800-745-3000.  The 82nd NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships take place at Scottrade Center March 15-17, 2012. 

Tickets for the 2012 Championships are sold as all-session packages, providing admission to the six sessions during the three-day tournament.  Upper level corners and ends are $125; upper level middle and corners (first two rows) are $150; and lower level tickets are $175.  All tickets are subject to Ticketmaster convenience charges.

The University of Missouri and the St. Louis Sports Commission serve as hosts for the event, which returns to the Gateway City for the sixth time since 2000.  The 2009 Championships in St. Louis set the event’s all-time total attendance record of 97,336.

St. Louis RCGA Chief Economist Ruth Sergenian estimated that the 2009 Wrestling Championships had an overall economic impact on the region of $14.2 million and created $8.1 million in direct spending from visitors.  She also estimated that $959,000 in state and local taxes were generated by the event.  More than 15,000 out-of-town fans, student-athletes, coaches, media and officials visited St. Louis for the 2009 Championships.
