TICKETS FOR THE 2009 ILLINOIS-MISSOURI FOOTBALL GAME GO ON SALE THAT DAY
ST. LOUIS – July 28, 2009 – Anticipation is growing by the day with college football season on the horizon, and that could only mean one thing: the return of the State Farm Arch Rivalry! On Saturday, Aug. 1, fans are invited to an Arch Rivalry pep rally at J. Buck’s in Downtown St. Louis (1000 Clark St.) from 4 to 6 p.m. Those in attendance will have the chance to see select Illinois and Missouri players, win seats to see the Illinois-Missouri season opener and more. Tickets for this year’s Illinois vs. Missouri State Farm Arch Rivalry football game go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. The pep rally at J. Buck’s will feature live music, interactive games, player interviews and autograph opportunities. Illinois and Missouri players will sign autographs from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Student-athletes scheduled to appear include: Juice Williams (Sr., QB), Arrelious Benn (Jr., WR), London Davis (Fr., TE, Cahokia), and Doug Pilcher (Sr., DL) from Illinois; and Jaron Baston (Sr., DL), Kurtis Gregory (Graduate student, OL) and Carl Gettis (Jr., DB, Fort Zumwalt West) from Missouri. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. Fans are encouraged to wear their Illini and Tigers gear – come dressed to impress – as tickets to the 2009 State Farm Arch Rivalry will be given away to the most spirited fans in attendance. Saturday’s pep rally is presented by KMOX Radio and organized by the St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission and the St. Louis Sports Commission – the hosts of the Arch Rivalry series.
ARCH RIVALRY TICKETS: Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1. Fans can purchase tickets online at www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 314-241-1888 or (toll-free) 800-745-3000, and in person at all Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets for the 2009 Arch Rivalry game are: $75 (club level), $45 (terrace loge), $35 (terrace sidelines/corners) and $15 (terrace end zones). A limited number of $65 lower level tickets may be available. A $3 per ticket facility fee and Ticketmaster convenience charges will also apply. Please note that advanced tickets will not be sold at the Edward Jones Dome box office. This year’s State Farm Arch Rivalry kicks off at 2:40 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5 and will be televised by ESPN. Last year’s Arch Rivalry sold out within minutes of tickets going on sale.
MEDIA NOTE: Illinois and Missouri student-athletes appearing at the pep rally on Saturday will be available for media interviews from 3 to 4 p.m. Media can also join the players for lunch at J.
